Women's Day

మొదట చ్ప్పల్సిందేమిటంటే, నేను ఇంతకు ముందు వ్రాసిన టపా గురించి మీ స్పందన చూసి నాకు చాలా ఆనందంగా అనిపించింది. చెప్పలంటే నెనంత "serious" గా రాయలనుకోలేదు. కానీ అలా అలా రాస్తూ ఈలా తయ్యారయ్యింది. మహిళాదినోత్సవ సందర్భం గా నేనో కవిత రాసా (ఇంగ్లిషులో).
Among a million in the starlit sky
I am a woman, like a solitary star
My mettle glows, even though
Since ages, they have tried to smother the war

I can either create or destroy this big world
I hold an immense power, deep inside.
The violent past keeps hunting like a nightmare
And impedes ignorance; it hasn’t died.

I can never forget the thorny path
Trodden by my fateful sisters
I can never forgive them,
The makers of lives so sinister.

Out of pain and anguish congregated
Even the earth will burst
So do I, have to seek
Vengeful solace, first.

I now realise, that one day,
There will descend strained tranquil upon my soul
But, I also realise that, my rebellious spirit
Will blaze on forever until gained, the goal.
